Abstract

Introduction: Women with breast cancer experience problems in multiple aspects of their lives, but applying effective strategies can result in enhancing their quality of life and their psychosocial adaptation to the disease. However, there is little information about the strategies that women use to cope with complications associated with their experiences following a breast cancer diagnosis.

Material and Methods: The study was done in department of Medical oncology at Shirdi Saibaba cancer hospital and research centre, Kasturba hospital, Manipal. The study period is from November 2009 to February 2010. Results: 30 study subjects were selected for the study. Majority of the study subjects were in 41-50 age group.
